Easter in Opočno: a relaxing walk through history

As we face the uncertainty of the war in Ukraine, and millions of lives affected by events there, it was good to be able to put this aside for Easter by going back in time to the small town of Opočno. Similarly, it was good to use the freedom from covid restrictions to do things that were previously problematic: walking through a castle without masks, staying in a hotel. Still, the weather is cold, and spring is so far speaking only softly in the gradually greening and cautiously flowering trees. The blue sky we saw was much warmer than the rather strong and wintery breeze.
